Why is my reducer running hot?
If this is happening during the initial break in period,
it is normal. The reducer can run up to 225°. Check
for an overload if this condition is occurring after the
break in period.
What should I do if the reducer
oil becomes contaminated with water or other debris?
Change the oil. It cannot be left in the reducer. The lubricants
must be free from contamination by water or debris, to assure
a long service life. The reducer should periodically be
drained (while warm) and refilled
